Open a Command Prompt window and run the following command in order to update the group policy (or you can simply restart the server): gpupdate /force. Now for the important piece of the puzzle… In order to successfully use Duo 2FA with WHS / WSE RemoteApp (or any of our older legacy products), you need to ensure that your allowed users have been delegated the “ Allow log on locally” right in the server’s local or domain-level security policy. However, I’ll leave them posted here just in case you happen to be running an older version of the product (in which case, you will still need to follow them). UPDATE: The following steps are no longer required when you are using WHS / WSE RemoteApp Version 1.255.1550 or greater. 
The Duo Authentication for Windows Logon installer will successfully run from there, allowing you to enter in your Integration Key, Secret Key, etc. To do so, simply perform a standard Remote Desktop Connection to your server, sign in as a user with admin rights, and then run the “ duo-win-login-latest.exe” installer file directly from the admin user’s server desktop. Also, be sure that you run the Duo Authentication for Windows Logon installer file directly on your server(and not on one of your client computers by mistake). NOTE: Since Duo Authentication for Windows Logon does not support self-enrollment of your users, you will need to manually enroll each of your allowed users via the Duo Admin Panel.
